I'm divorced and dating a man who is separated (4 years)

Let's try this again.....I'm divorced and dating a man who is separated (4 years). We've been dating 1 year. He is not yet divorced. He has 2 children (older). I have 2 children (younger). He has met mine, I have not met his. He has been to my home, I have been to his (he's not hiding anything). As I said in a previous post, during times of need, he has not been there for me, but he professes he loves me. Almost everything in this relationship is good. However, the fact that I haven't met his kids, I see him every other weekend, and that he wasn't there for me a couple of times when I needed him, tells me........? My head tells me go....my heart says another. I really need some advise.
